Sanctioned Op (5k)

The Sanctioned Op is a professional bounty hunter and road fighter. Driving the latest in high-tech Interceptor, armed with the deadliest in weaponry, the Op doesn't wait around to get paid, they go where the money is, and that's usually where the gangcults are. Some are 9-5 Ops, going where they're told and gunning for whose whom the companies tell them to, while some are loners and mavericks, getting their kicks from wiping the scum off the face of the earth. Some are even good guys, protecting the lone towns from gangs for the price of a hot meal. It's a dangerous business, but it's glamorous, and everyone is looking to be the next cover for Road Warriors or Soldier of Fortune magazine.

A Sanctioned Op is effectively a Redliner and Media combined class.

Game Rule Information:
Sanctioned Ops have the following game statistics.
An Op must come from a PeeZee or Town Native background. While some Ops have been recruited from gangs, that Op must have gotten to a high level in the gang first, which won't be sufficient for beginning characters.

Abilities:
A Sanctioned Op is all about driving cars and shooting vehicle weapons, so Dexterity comes of the list. Charisma comes second as the media just love these guys and girls.

Spotlight:
Getting peoples attention is something that a Sanctioned Op can learn to do. This feat allows the Sanctioned Op to get the attention of everyone within unaided eye and ear shot of them. Everyone within range, and who is not in combat, must make a Wil saving throw (versus the DC of the levels ability) or stop and give the Sanctioned Op their attention. This feat does not make people like the Op nor change any reactions, it simply makes them stop and look up. What the Sanctioned Op does with the crowd is up to them, but a quick interview or witty comeback is always good.

Summon Media Crew:
As the Sanctioned Op gets more popular, media crews start to follow them around, and start to appear at advantageous times. While these crews won't directly interfere with the character or their actions, they will film the characters actions and ask for interviews afterwards. This could be good or bad depending on how the actions went. A media crew can't just magically appear out of nowhere, but they could be following around in jetcopters or the like. A summoned media crew will arrive in the time given in brackets next to the level in turns. Media on the hunt are like hyenas around a kill...
To summon a media crew, the character must make a Charisma roll against a DC 20. A media crew can be summoned once per day, provided some event is going on that could be news. Which is pretty flexible really. Note that the summoning may be the character actually calling in the media crew, or could be considered pot luck that the crew was around.

Starting Equipment:
A Sanctioned Op starts with $100,000 with which to buy an Interceptor and personal gear.
