Androids (5k)

There are times when characters will be running up against androids for one reason or another. When that time comes, you'll want to know the stats for the android. Here's where you can do just that. Just bring along your favourite android, and we'll do the rest...

The size of the android depends on its body type.

    Android BodySize
    Very LargeHuge

Hit Dice:
Use 1d8 per Damage point. Don't actually roll the dice though, an android has 5 hit points per damage point.

This is based on the brain of the android.

    Android BrainInitiative
    The android will ony react if instructed or interfered with. It will go last in the turn.

Multiply the Move of the android by 3.75 to get the androids speed.

This is equal to 10 + the following bonus, based on the androids brain.

    Android BrainAC

An android has one attack, unless it has an Independent brain, in which case it has two. The androids attack bonus is based on its skill level. Melee combat is equal to Close Combat x3. Weapons combat is equal to the skill level x3.

Damage is via the weapon the android uses. Close combat damage is equal to 1d6 per point of Dark Future damage bonus. A damage bonus of +0 equals 1d4 damage.

Unless special equipment is listed, an android has a reach of 10'. Small androids have a reach of 5'. Provide the android has arms, that is.

Special Attacks:
An android doesn't have special attacks unless it has special equipment.

Special Qualities:
An android has a damage reduction equal to 3 points per point of Dark Future AV.
An android has a sound protection bonus equal to its sound proofing x5.

Usually an android does not usually need to make saves. However, if needed use the following.

Fort: An android has a Fort saving throw equal to its Dark Future Damage points.
Ref: The android Ref saving throw is based on its brain.

    Android BrainRef

Will: An android will never make a Will saving throw. Only electronic hacking will cause the android to lose concentration, nothing else will.

Should the abilities be needed, use the following.

Str: Multiple the androids Dark Future damage bonus by 10, then +10 to get its Str. An android with a damage bonus of +0 has a Str 10.
Dex and Int are based on the androids brain.
Con: Using the androids Dark Future damage points as the modifier, calculate the Con score from that.
Wis and Cha are not applicable to androids.

    Android BrainDexInt

An android only has the skills with which it is programmed with. Multiply the Dark Future skill level by 3 to get the androids skill ranks.

An android doesn't have feats. However, being an android can be feat enough - it doesn't feel pain, doesn't test morale, is not effected by gases or fatigue or many other things that would effect a person.

Example - Typical Security Android:
This is an example conversion of the typical security android which is one of the most common androids around. It is armed with a 20mm grenade launcher, a stun baton and a maxiscreamer.

Example - Mjolnir Mk 1 Recon Android:
The Mjolnir is a recon android, designed with a superb brain. It is used more for infiltration than standard security, being covered in plaskin, making it virtually impossible to detect as an android until it goes into action. It has no built in weapons, but prefers twin heavy .44 pistols.

Damage: Melee 1d6, or by weapon
